In the song Breathe (2 am) by Anna Nalick, I found a verse which caught my attention. In my opinion, this verse is very important and should be repeated everyday. According to Google, the definition of an hourglass, is an invertible device with two connected glass bulbs containing sand that takes an hour to pass from the upper to the lower bulb.
So in a symbolic way, an hourglass can symbolize that once time runs out there's no turning back. When people think of how there's no turning back, they immediately start to feel depressed but to me this quote is not depressing at all. In fact, I find it refreshing. It reminds me that since I only live once, I have to continuously remind myself to live it right. Live it right, these words are barely possible to deliberately imply to our actual life. What I mean to say is, live the way you want to live your life. Be yourself, as long as it does no harm to others, including animals and/or the environment. This verse is a beautiful quote and we should keep it in mind.
And that is what I think the true message behind this verse is. However, if anyone has a different approach, please let me know.J
